The government of Islamabad has announced an increase in the price of petrol by 9 rupees and 66 paisa per liter. Conversely, the price of diesel per liter has been decreased by 3 rupees and 32 paise. These new prices will take effect from midnight.
Following this adjustment, the new price of petrol per liter stands at 289 rupees and 41 paise, while diesel now costs 282 rupees and 24 paise per liter. These revised prices will remain valid for the next 15 days. The decision to raise petrol prices was made based on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), as per the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.
