
In Islamabad, the President of the State has reconstituted the Council of Common Interests upon the recommendation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Following the President’s approval, a notification has been issued, marking a significant departure as the Finance Minister is replaced by the Foreign Minister for the first time in the Council of Common Interests’ history.
Per the notification, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will assume the chairmanship of the eight-member Council of Common Interests.
Comprising all four Chief Ministers, the Council now includes Ishaq Dar among its members. Additionally, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Minister for Safar Engineer Amir Muqam have also been appointed as members of the Council of Common Interests.
