In Islamabad, the Chairman of the PTI has submitted petitions to the Islamabad High Court challenging the decisions regarding the dismissal of bail requests in nine cases related to the May 9 judicial complex attack and forgery.
News reported that Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri had instructed the removal of objections raised against the PTI Chairman’s six bail petitions from the Sessions Court and three from the ATC. The legal team representing Chairman PTI filed these petitions after addressing the registrar’s office’s objections.
Chairman PTI, through lawyer Salman Safdar, has lodged nine petitions in the High Court, involving both the prosecution and the plaintiff as parties, seeking the reversal of the decisions denying bail in these cases. The petitions argue that the trial courts hastily rejected the bail requests without considering their merits. They request the annulment of the trial courts’ judgments to uphold the principles of justice and urge the trial courts to re-examine these cases based on their merits. Additionally, they seek to prevent the police from making any further arrests in these nine cases.
