The International Cricket Council (ICC) has recently unveiled the official anthem for the 2023 Cricket World Cup, scheduled to take place in India.
Renowned Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is the performer of this special anthem titled ‘Dil Jashan Bole,’ which was released on ICC’s various social media platforms. The music for the anthem has been composed by Pritam.
The 2023 Cricket World Cup anthem prominently showcases the flags of the participating teams, employing animation techniques in its video. Furthermore, the anthem features images of the captains of arch-rivals Pakistan and India, namely Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam.
However, there has been a notable amount of criticism from cricket enthusiasts and social media users who have expressed disappointment in the official World Cup anthem. Many argue that simply featuring a Bollywood star is insufficient and that the anthem should have been more befitting of the grandeur of the event, with its perceived quality falling below expectations.
