The Sunni Unity Council has submitted a resolution to the National Assembly Secretariat urging for the release of the PTI’s founding chairman.
The resolution calls for the dismissal of cases against him and other political figures, emphasizing an end to the misuse of legal procedures.
Additionally, it appeals for the release of individuals including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Parvez Elahi, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Sanam Javed, Ejaz Chaudhry, Mahmood Al Rashid, journalists Imran Riaz, and Asad Toor. The resolution argues that the cases against them are politically motivated and lack legal merit.
