Securing second place in the javelin throw final of the World Athletics Championships, Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan earned the silver medal. He made history by becoming the first Pakistani to stand on the podium at the World Athletics Championships. The gold medal was claimed by Neeraj Chopra from India, achieving this feat with a remarkable throw of 88.17 meters.
Arshad Nadeem’s performance unfolded as follows: In his initial attempt, he launched the javelin to a distance of 74.80 meters, followed by an impressive 82.81 meters in his second try. The third round saw him achieve a throw of 87.82 meters, while in the fourth round, he reached 87.15 meters. Unfortunately, his fifth attempt was deemed a foul, but he rebounded in the sixth and final throw, replicating his 87.82-meter mark.
