ISLAMABAD: A staff level agreement is likely to be signed between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today.
Officials of the Ministry of Finance have said that the negotiations for an agreement with the IMF have entered the final stages, the deadlock on all terms has almost ended, the scheme to bring one hundred thousand dollars annually to Pakistan on the terms of the IMF has been terminated.
According to the sources, the MEF draft has been shared between the IMF and the Ministry of Finance, there will be negotiations between the two sides for the staff level agreement, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will finalize the negotiations with the IMF.
