In Karachi, the US dollar continues its ascent against the Pakistani rupee, reaching an all-time high on Thursday. During the fourth business day of the week, the dollar initially dropped by 7 paise in the interbank market, touching 299.56 paise against the rupee. However, this decline was short-lived, and the dollar later surged by 28 paise to reach 299.91 rupees, marking the highest point in the country’s interbank history.

Notably, in the preceding day, the dollar had concluded at a peak of 299.63 rupees in the interbank market. Simultaneously, in the open market, the dollar had experienced an unexpected spike, causing it to rise by 6 rupees and settle at 312 rupees.

Conversely, the Pakistan Stock Exchange is currently witnessing a bullish trend. The KSE 100 index kicked off Thursday by gaining 159 points, propelling it to reach 47,578 points.
