Minister of State for Finance Ayesha Ghos Pasha termed the IMF mission’s statement as interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs.
Speaking to the media, the Minister of State said that the Ministry of Finance did not sit with its eyes closed if there was no deal with the IMF, Plan B is always there, but our priority is the IMF program.
Ayesha Ghos Pasha said that Pakistan is acting according to the law, the statement of the IMF mission chief is extraordinary and it is not the mandate of the IMF to interfere in the internal affairs of Pakistan.
In the interest of both Pakistan and IMF, the Prime Minister has assured MD IMF to implement the conditions and complete the program.
The Minister of State said that it is hoped that the staff level agreement will be reached before the new budget.
And on June 30, the IMF program will end. There will be a budget and the new budget is being prepared on June 9, the new budget will give relief to the people and try not to put more burden on the common man.
The Minister of State said that the IMF allows targeted subsidies to Pakistan.
