Tinubu has been sworn in as the new president of Nigeria, making him the 16th president of Nigeria.
According to international media reports, 71-year-old President Tinubu took the oath of office at the capital’s Eagle Square Avenue and vowed to revive the country’s economy and energy sector.
Speaking at the event, He said, “I promise that we will implement budget reforms to revive the economy without creating inflation and eradicate poverty.”
About 5,000 people participated in the swearing-in ceremony, including presidents of other countries, heads of state and governors, ministers, diplomats and officials of friendly countries.
He also promised to create jobs for the youth and involve more women in government affairs.
In terms of security, the new president bought more military weapons and other equipment and improved the welfare of security personnel
