RIYADH: Today, the world will witness a sight that happens only twice a year. The sun will be directly above the khana Kaaba, which will eliminate the shadow of the khana Kaaba.
According to Al Arabiya News, this has been announced by the Jeddah Astronomical Committee in a statement. According to Pakistani time, this interesting and surprising phenomenon of nature will be seen at 2:26 PM.
Thanks to this phenomenon, Muslims around the world will be able to accurately determine the direction of Qibla even without a compass.
Experts say that only twice a year the Sun comes directly above the Kaaba. This time comes when the sun and the Kaaba are exactly parallel to each other, i.e. on the same vertical line. Since the sun and the Kaaba are at 90 degrees, the shadow of the Kaaba will not be visible.
