Tosha Khana Case; Give arguments till 12 o’clock or else I will pronounce judgment, Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar

Tosha Khana

In the Tosha Khana criminal proceedings case, Judge Humayun Dilawar set a final deadline for the lawyer representing the Chairman of PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) to submit his arguments.

The hearing had faced delays as the lawyer failed to appear on time, but Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry, an assistant counsel, represented him this time. Amjad Parvez, the Election Commission’s advocate, requested the accused to ensure attendance, stating that Khawaja Haris (the Chairman’s lawyer) was presenting arguments in the accountability court and had requested time until 2:30.

However, the court was not satisfied with the explanation and emphasized that the accused had clear instructions to be present at 8:30, threatening to issue an arrest warrant if they failed to appear. Judge Humayun Dilawar asked the Election Commission’s lawyer to recite a poem during the hearing.

During the court proceedings, Election Commission lawyers Amjad Parvez and Saad Hasan appeared, but no lawyer represented the Chairman of PTI. The court allowed more time to the PTI Chairman’s lawyers until 10:30 to present their arguments.

In light of the negative campaign on social media against Judge Humayun Dilawar, security measures for him have been increased, with two police squads assigned to protect him.
