In the District and Sessions Court hearing of the Tosha Khana case involving the Chairman of PTI, Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar questioned why the High Court or the Supreme Court had not intervened to stop the case if there was a decision to stay.
The lawyer representing the Election Commission, Amjad Pervez, argued that the accused had admitted the charges in statement 342, making further proof unnecessary.
The Chairman of PTI claimed that his tax returns proved his innocence, but the judge dismissed this argument as four witnesses in the case were tax consultants.
The lawyer for the Chairman PTI pointed out that the case was already under consideration in the High Court and that the Supreme Court had instructed not to make any decisions until the High Court had ruled.
However, Judge Humayun Dilawar sarcastically remarked that it seemed like the court was in a hurry, suggesting that if there was a decision to stay the case, it should be presented to the court. The hearing was adjourned until Friday prayers.
