In the forgery case related to Tosha Khana, law enforcement authorities have applied for the apprehension of Bushra Bibi in Islamabad. The case was heard at the District and Sessions Court Islamabad under the supervision of Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Supra. In this legal proceeding, Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, appeared before the court alongside her legal counsel.
During the hearing, the police requested the arrest of Imran Khan’s former wife, asserting that her apprehension is crucial to advance the investigation of the Tosha Khana forgery case. The investigating officer informed the court that Bushra Bibi’s voice recording has been forwarded to the FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) for forensic analysis.
Salman Safdar, the attorney representing Bushra Bibi, argued in court that she has been summoned for interrogation sessions lasting three hours each time and is kept waiting during the proceedings. Furthermore, it was disclosed during the investigation that the voice recording in question does not belong to Bushra Bibi.
The court inquired about the origins of the audio, considering that the case revolves around receipts. The court instructed that the case should proceed in accordance with the registered FIR (First Information Report).
During the hearing, the investigating officer requested the court to grant more time for voice matching analysis of Bushra Bibi.
Subsequently, the court extended Bushra Bibi’s bail until September 12, and the court proceedings were adjourned until that date, in response to the request made by Bushra Bibi’s legal team for additional arguments.
