The Accountability Court in Islamabad has instructed the recording of Nawaz Sharif’s statement in the Toshakhana reference by November 30. During the reference hearing concerning Toshakhana vehicles, Qazi Misbah, representing Nawaz Sharif, highlighted that Sharif’s statement hadn’t been documented in the investigation.
Misbah requested the court to instruct the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to record Nawaz Sharif’s statement. The court suggested calling Sharif to record his position, to which Misbah proposed receiving a questionnaire to provide a statement. The NAB prosecutor agreed that the investigating officer should record the statement.
Consequently, the court approved the request to record Nawaz Sharif’s statement in the Toshakhana vehicle case by November 30. The next hearing is adjourned until that date.
