Tosha Khana Two; Objections to Imran Khan’s bail application removed, instructions to set the case for hearing

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court, removing objections to the bail application of PTI founder Imran Khan in Tosha Khana 2, directed the Registrar’s Office to schedule the hearing of the case on Monday.

Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the case. Ayesha Khalid, Shahina Shahab and others appeared in the court on behalf of founder PTI.

The court inquired from the petitioner’s lawyer whether the registrar’s office has any objections to this petition. Lawyer Ayesha Khalid said that founder PTI has a bail application in the Tosha Khana 2 case.

Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb remarked that you have said that there are rules of consistency but here the petitioner is male. Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb, referring to Bushra Bibi bail, said that Bushra Bibi was a woman, then she became bail, I have rejected one such application yesterday.

The court while talking to Shawar Khawar advocate said that the objection of the registrar office is that the power of attorney is dated July and the cause of action is dated November, Mr. Shah Khawar, your assistance is required on this issue. Shah Khawar said that there is a routine practice, when the petitioner is in jail, we sign the power of attorney together.

PTI Founder Advocate Shahina Shahab requested to issue notices on the petition, to which Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb remarked that the law will follow.

After arguments, the court overruled the objections of the registrar’s office and directed the application to be fixed on Monday.
