An earthquake was felt in various parts of Balochistan, including Quetta, as reported by sources. The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) seismic monitoring center indicated tremors of a magnitude measuring 5.6 in Pishan, Nushki, Chaman, and Qila Abdullah.
The quake prompted people to evacuate their homes. According to PMD, the earthquake’s depth was recorded at 30 km.
The epicenter was located in the Shorawak area of Afghanistan’s Kandahar province, near the Pak-Afghan border and adjacent to Nushki district, approximately 166 km southwest of Quetta. Notably, Qila Abdullah experienced earthquake tremors for the second consecutive day.
