In two separate shooting incidents in Nevada and Texas, the death toll has reached 9, with over 10 individuals injured.
The first shooting occurred at a university in Las Vegas, Nevada, where an armed individual killed 3 people and injured more than 5 others. Police arrived on the scene, demanding the armed person’s surrender. However, the perpetrator refused, firing shots into the air and attacking the police. The police responded by fatally shooting the armed individual. Efforts to identify the perpetrator and the victims are underway, pending permission from the families of those affected.
The second incident took place in Austin, Texas, where a man killed a woman and a man in a residence before targeting and killing 4 individuals passing by. During the confrontation between the police and the perpetrator, the assailant was killed, and 6 people, including 3 officers, sustained injuries.
Authorities have not yet determined the motives behind these shootings in Las Vegas and Austin, stating that investigations are still in their preliminary stages.
