Usman Dar’s mother and sister-in-law had their Nomination Papers rejected, while his brother was arrested.

The rejection of nomination papers for Usman Dar’s mother and sister-in-law, along with the arrest of his brother Umar Dar, has stirred controversy in the Sialkot NA-71 elections. The papers of Rehana Imtiaz Dar and Aruba Dar were turned down, both aiming to contest against Khawaja Asif from NA-71.

According to RO Muhammad Iqbal Sanghida, the candidates owe around Rs. 4,12,000 in social security and failed to declare ownership of two Kanal plots in Godpur. Meanwhile, Umar Dar was reportedly taken against his will, prompting a petition in the Lahore High Court filed by Abuzar Salman Khan Niazi on behalf of Usman Dar. The petition seeks Umar Dar’s recovery, alleging his abduction by over 40 individuals, including those in police attire, purportedly related to political vendetta.

The petition implores the court to intervene, stating that Umar Dar was taken while dining at a private hotel and demands his safe return amid the ongoing electoral competition, emphasizing that his family is being targeted for political reasons.
