KARACHI: The delegation from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has initiated discussions about the possibility of hosting Pakistan for cricket matches. Roger Binny and Rajeev Shukla, accompanied by the delegation, arrived in Lahore on September 4 and subsequently returned to India via the Wagah border on Wednesday.
Upon his return to India, Roger Binny, the President of the BCCI, expressed his satisfaction with their visit to Pakistan. He likened the experience to the warm hospitality they received during a Test match in 1984. Binny remarked that they were treated exceptionally well, almost like royalty. The delegation had a delightful time, engaging with officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board, and both sides were pleased with the visit.
Roger Binny mentioned that Pakistan had expressed a desire for cricketing relations to resume between the two nations. However, he clarified that the decision on this matter ultimately rests with the respective governments, and there was no set agenda for the discussions.
