
Former Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan stated that there is no electoral alliance with the People’s Party, and he took legal action against them for making disparaging remarks about his party. He made these comments while addressing the media after attending the funeral prayer of League leader Rana Maqbool.
Rana Sanaullah mentioned that Mian Nawaz Sharif is set to return home on October 21, and they plan to extend a warm welcome to him. He also emphasized that Nawaz Sharif should assume leadership within the party for the upcoming elections.
Regarding the consensus approval of the census, Rana Sanaullah viewed it as a significant national development, especially considering the controversy surrounding the previous census results. He added that once the constituencies are finalized, the election schedule, spanning 54 days, will be announced, ensuring a smooth election process.
When discussing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Rana Sanaullah expressed the desire for the PTI to have a political opportunity and participate in the elections. However, he asserted that groups responsible for attacks on Pakistan’s defense and disrespecting martyrs should not be allowed to contest elections.
Rana Sanaullah also noted that the coalition government has ended, and decisions about potential alliances will be made after the upcoming elections. He clarified that his party has no plans for an electoral alliance with the People’s Party, and the likelihood of seat adjustments is quite limited.
