The Safety Tools screen will offer the options to Block or Report the contact, along with instructions on how to handle such situations, like verifying the phone’s country code and cross-checking the photo and name associated with the number.
However, it’s essential to note that WhatsApp does not verify these details directly within the application. The upcoming version will suggest code verification and photo and name cross-checking to enhance user safety.
