
ISLAMABAD: The coordinator of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Ahmed Waqas Janjua, who had been missing, was presented in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) and was remanded for seven days.
Ahmed Waqas Janjua appeared before the ATC, where Judge Tahir Abbas Supra presided over the proceedings. His appearance was in relation to a case filed at the CTD police station.
During the hearing, the investigating officer informed the court that explosive materials were seized from Ahmed Waqas Janjua at the time of his arrest. He requested a physical remand to facilitate further investigation and to explore connections with banned organizations, initially seeking a 15-day remand.
The Anti-Terrorism Court approved a seven-day physical remand for Ahmed Waqas Janjua and scheduled his next appearance for July 29.
Previously, a case regarding the disappearance of PTI’s International Media Coordinator, Ahmed Janjua, was filed at Hamak police station, and a copy of the case has been submitted to the Islamabad High Court by officials from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
It is important to note that the case concerning the disappearance of PTI coordinator Ahmed Waqas Janjua is currently being heard in the Islamabad High Court.
