Today, in Islamabad, all banks will be closed for transactions as Zakat deductions take place. The State Bank has announced that this closure applies to all banks, development and financial institutions, as well as microfinance banks, meaning there will be no transactions with the public.
However, employees of these institutions will still be required to be present for regular work, except for transactions involving the public.
