The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has mandated integrated suppliers to disclose their outlets within the computerized system, necessitating registration of Point of Sale (POS) systems across all outlets and their linkage to the FBR system.
This directive was formalized through SRO 1775(I)/2023, an amendment to the Sales Tax Rules, 2006, released by the FBR on Thursday.
As per the updated regulations, notified suppliers must also ensure registration of their outlet’s point-of-sale systems, integration with the FBR, and furnish necessary information in compliance with these requirements.
