Islamabad: The Election Commission has rendered a verdict in relation to the PTI foreign funding confiscation case.
As per the ruling, PTI is granted the opportunity to furnish a comprehensive response in accordance with principles of justice. PTI is required to provide the conclusive response to the show cause notice by August 22.
The Election Commission conveyed to PTI that failing to submit the final response will lead to the case being concluded. The Election Commission will make a ultimate decision based on the existing records. The respondent is utilizing delaying tactics to extend the duration of the case.
The ruling states that PTI is instructed to deposit a sum of 50 thousand rupees at the office of Election Commission Deputy Director Law. This amount will be directed to an orphanage.
