The Indian police has arrested the person who threatened the well-known Bollywood actor Salman Khan from Jamshedpur city of Jharkhand.
According to the police, the accused demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore from the actor using the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and said that Salman Khan’s life was in danger.
The threatening message was received by the Mumbai Traffic Police control room on October 18, after which the police registered a case against an unidentified person and started an investigation. On October 21, the accused also sent an apology letter stating that the message was sent by mistake.
The police traced the location of the accused from Jharkhand and arrested him after a successful operation. The accused had claimed to be close to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and had warned Salman Khan of the threat to his life if the ransom was not paid.
It is to be noted that Salman Khan has received threats from the Bishnoi gang in the past and the gangster demanded a huge sum of money from the actor to end the long-standing feud.
