The release of the iPhone 15 is slated for two weeks ahead, and it has significantly raised Apple’s aspirations of clinching the top spot among smartphone companies by early 2024.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst, has indicated that Samsung’s smartphone shipments dropped by 220 million units this year. This implies that if Apple’s orders remain steady in the latter half of 2023, iPhone shipments are anticipated to range from 220 to 225 million units, positioning Apple as the foremost smartphone brand.
Apple’s outlook for 2024 appears upbeat, targeting sales of 250 million units. Ming-Chi predicts a 5 to 10 percent year-on-year growth in sales.
Ming-Chi Kuo has pointed out Apple’s apprehension regarding potential declines in iPhone 15 shipments due to supply chain challenges. The delay of the iPhone 15 Pro Max launch could potentially pose a significant issue.
As per the analyst, widespread shipment of the iPhone Pro Max is expected to commence this week. Simultaneously, Apple is set to augment the shipping of its existing ‘legacy models’.
