
MULTAN: Renowned politician and former member of the Muslim League-N, Javed Hashmi, has declared his withdrawal from the upcoming elections, pledging his support to the Tehreek-e-Insaaf candidate.
Addressing the media in Multan, Javed Hashmi stated, “I am formally withdrawing as a candidate from the general elections scheduled for February 8 and am wholeheartedly aligning myself with PTI.”
He emphasized his commitment to extend full political and moral backing to whoever takes the forefront. Javed Hashmi clarified that he is not boycotting the elections but will now seek votes not for himself but for the PTI candidate.
Highlighting his shift in approach, Javed Hashmi remarked, “Rather than soliciting votes, I will now be an advocate for the cause.”
It is noteworthy that Makhdoom Javed Hashmi had filed nomination papers as an independent candidate for the NA-149 constituency in Multan.
