In Islamabad, the Supreme Court has granted permission for Imran Khan to participate in the NAB amendment case via video link.
During a hearing on the government’s appeals against the annulment of the NAB amendments, both the Prosecutor General NAB and the Punjab government’s lawyer stated their alignment with the federal government’s arguments.
The Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa expressed support for the decision to void the NAB amendments. Justice Athar Manullah highlighted the issue of NAB’s involvement in political manipulation, noting Imran Khan’s desire to personally appear in court. However, the option of participating via video link was also offered to Khan by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, who directed arrangements to be made for this within the next two days, accepting Khan’s preference.
