
Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will visit Iran today to offer his condolences following the tragic deaths of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a helicopter crash.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and senior ministers will accompany Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on his visit to Iran. During the visit, the Prime Minister will meet with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Imam Khamenei and Acting President of Iran Dr. Mohammad Mokhbar.
Shahbaz Sharif will convey the condolences of the Pakistani government and people over the deaths of President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and others. Ayatollah Khamenei will lead the funeral prayers for President Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian, and others in Tehran, with President Raisi’s burial set for Thursday in Mashhad.
