The anti-measles team of the Health Department has been attacked in Rata Amaral area of Rawalpindi, as a result of which 3 officials were injured, who were shifted to the hospital.
The health department team had reached Rata Amaral for measles prevention campaign. The health department says that the youths harassed the women in the team, and the officials were tortured for refusing.
The team of the health department has informed the Ratta Amaral police station in writing. Later, the police arrested 3 accused of torturing the health department team, the accused have been identified as Ahsan, Ejaz and Shan.
According to the police, Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawalpindi Faisal Salim had ordered the arrest of the accused on the information of the incident.
