Islamabad: Sanam Javed, a candidate from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), has approached the Supreme Court seeking participation in the upcoming election.
Petitions have been submitted to the Supreme Court challenging the rejection of nomination papers for Sanam Javed, the PTI nominee. Notably, Sanam Javed’s nomination papers were turned down for National Assembly Constituencies NA 119 and NA 120, as well as Provincial Assembly Constituency PP 150. Concurrently, Shaukat Basra has also lodged an appeal for National Assembly Constituency NA 163.
The petitioners are urging the Supreme Court to overturn the decisions made by the election tribunals. The Election Commission is currently awaiting responses regarding petitions from Shah Mehmood and Sanam Javed.
