Customs and various agencies in Islamabad successfully thwarted multiple attempts at smuggling prohibited goods, including sugar, urea fertilizer, and other items, in six operations across Mastung, Nushki, and Dera Murad Jamali areas.
Collaborating with FC Balochistan, they prevented the smuggling of over 11,000 kg of sugar, 30,000 sacks of urea fertilizer, and various other prohibited items like cigarettes, gutka, cloth, tires, and vehicle oil valued at a significant amount.
The smugglers were employing trucks and passenger buses to cross-smuggle these goods, but vigilant checks by FC Balochistan and authorities led to the confiscation of the items, which were subsequently handed over to customs. Now, these same smugglers have blocked the Lakpass road, demanding the release of their seized goods.
Reports indicate that FC Balochistan intercepted passenger buses during their operations, uncovering hidden sugar, urea fertilizer, and other banned items in the process.
