
In Islamabad, the Supreme Court is set to announce its verdict on the NAB amendment case today at 12:30 PM. A three-judge panel led by the Chief Justice will deliver the decision.
On September 9, government attorney Makhdoom Ali Khan submitted a written response to the query posed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan in the NAB amendments case. This response, comprising five pages, was conveyed through a judicial assistant.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah had suggested the formation of a full court to address the matter concerning the NAB amendments.
The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) filed a petition challenging the NAB amendments, and the Supreme Court conducted 53 hearings on this petition.
It’s important to note that today marks Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial’s final day on the bench before his retirement. The Supreme Court’s three-member panel also includes Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, in addition to the Chief Justice.
